Terms of Service
Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are between Wang Chengxi ("we," "us," or "our") and you, and govern your use of the Koonote mobile app ("the app").
Please read these Terms and our Privacy Policy before use. By using the app, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
The Service
We provide voice recording, content processing, note management, and related smart features. Available features are those shown in the app at the time of use.
We may update, optimize, or adjust features and will use reasonable efforts to keep the service available.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required in your region, and ensure your use is lawful where you live.
Use of the App
The app works at the device level and does not require a traditional account. Please keep your device secure. Loss of data due to device loss, uninstalling the app, or failure to back up is your responsibility.
Your Content and Conduct
You are responsible for content you record, generate, or edit, and you must respect the rights of others.
You may not use the app for unlawful activity or to disrupt the service.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content as needed to provide the service. That license ends when processing is complete in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
AI-Generated Content and Third-Party Processing
Transcripts, summaries, translations, and chat replies are generated automatically and may involve third-party AI services. They are for personal reference only and are not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. Please use your own judgment.
You understand and agree that:
- Recordings and/or related text may be sent to third-party AI services to provide these features
- We do not guarantee that AI output is fully accurate, complete, or suitable for every purpose
- You are responsible for consequences arising from unlawful, infringing, or inappropriate content you submit
Subscriptions and Payments
Some features may require a paid subscription. Purchases are made through Apple In-App Purchase and are subject to Apple's rules on billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds.
- Subscriptions renew automatically under Apple's rules unless you cancel as required before the end of the current period
- Prices are shown on the App Store purchase screen
- Refund requests should be submitted through Apple's official channels
Membership benefits and usage limits are shown in the app and on the App Store purchase screen.
Intellectual Property
The app and related materials, excluding your content, are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or commercially exploit them without written permission.
"Apple" and "App Store" are trademarks of Apple Inc.
Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is." We will bear responsibility for service interruption or related issues caused by network conditions, devices, third-party services, or force majeure only to the extent required by applicable law.
Changes and Termination
We may update these Terms and publish the latest version at https://koonote.app/terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the changes.
You may stop using the app at any time. If you materially breach these Terms, we may restrict or end your access.
Dispute Resolution
Disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the app should first be resolved through friendly negotiation by contacting [email protected].
If negotiation fails, either party may bring a claim in a court with lawful jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer rights in your region are not affected by these Terms.
Apple
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple
- Apple has no obligation to maintain or support the app
- Claims relating to the app are our responsibility, not Apple's
